Looking for the your best candling light. I have a nice LED but light leaks around and obscures my vision. The light that is built into my incubator. Well I'm my opinion not worth it.

I have silkie eggs, which have a slightly tougher shell than regular chicken eggs, and I've found that my intensely bright LED flashlight works fine. I just do it at night when it's dark, which makes a huge difference.

I'm candling 30 or so at a time, every five days when I'm in hatching mode, and really don't have any issues. Maybe you need a bit brighter of flashlight with a smaller lens end on it?

This is the last one I bought and like it. I have a flashlight fetish, I guess, as I must have a dozen various ones lol.

I just use a flashlight with an empty toilet paper roll to direct the beam. I've only had a few issues when the egg is smaller and I nearly dropped them down the roll
