In the Brooder
Hi there, I currently feed my chickens chick feed, because that's the feed that came with them when I first got them. I am going to switch out their food for a different kind, which brand is the best?

Thanks! All brands would be the same I’m pretty sure I mean for me they all work the same but I’m pretty sure after a certain age you need to switch it out for another feed I forgot the name and then layer pellets later on
Cracked corn is terrible for chicks. They need chick starter/grower until at least 8 weeks old. Cracked corn is a good "treat" for adult chickens, but even adults need more than cracked corn. It is hardly a complete feed.Cracked corn is always good. My family used for literally generations.
My chickens will not eat the corn. We have tried a few different mixtures. They eat everything else and leave the cracked corn. What's up with that?
Yeah I was thinking of adults, not chicks.Cracked corn is terrible for chicks. They need chick starter/grower until at least 8 weeks old. Cracked corn is a good "treat" for adult chickens, but even adults need more than cracked corn. It is hardly a complete feed.
