Best dog breed to keep an eye on my Motley flock?

I have a cocker spaniel, they’re expensive dogs and they are used for hunting but if you get it as a pup, it will get used to your flock

One day I had a family of foxes coming up the lane and I ran outside because I knew theyd go for the chickens, but when I got to the coop the cocker spaniel was with the chickens, all the chickens were behind him. So proud of my little cooper!

That's pretty sweet! Yea good point about Rott and my 5yo, again no kids at the time but he was always really good with kids, however not always aware of his size.

How about poodles?

Bull terriers are super sweet although may be too prey driven to be around birds.
