Best drake breed?

Like the calmest maters and best with kids. Is there a certain duck breed that won't over breed my hens?

I would go with a breed you like and find most attractive. Drakes are individuals and while some will be fine with 1-2 females most need more around 5 or so to keep from over breeding. It isn't due to being a certain breed but just being a male. It is what they do and females are designed by nature to handle it if the ratios are correct. My males has 5 females and I don't think I would ever do less than 4 females. He is not overly aggressive but he does get around and every seems happy.
 
i agree....go with which ever breed you like best. i have 3 girls for my indian runner drake and 3 works but another indian may need more girls to keep from over breeding. get what breed you like most and atleast 3 maybe 4 girls for him
