Since I am new to chickens I was wondering what the opinions are of those of you who have been caring for chickens for a while. There are many brands of chicken feed available. Currently my girls are 5 weeks old and they are on Purina Start and Grow. When it comes time for them to convert over to laying feed, I was wondering if I should switch brands.

What do you think is the best feed for laying hens? That would include Organic feed. I am looking for what would be best for the girls overall health, vitality and long life.
