Best floor for run?

Hi , I have two enclosed runs . The old one is sheltered and straw works best on floor as it stays pretty dry - so just collect poop daily and chuck more straw down.
In my new run , it has a roof but more exposed to the elements. Grass will be destroyed in a few days , what would you recommend to use on the floor?

I use whatever I can get my hands on In my run -shredded leaves, grass clippings, wood chips, pine needles, shredded paper from my office, some straw but not much, some shredded hemp. My run is covered too and gets a little damp around the edges if we have a big rain but it dries pretty quickly and so far the litter mix is working well. I don’t pick up poop from my run - occasionally I stir it up with a pitchfork because my chickens are only 7 weeks old so and are not very efficient at scratching through it yet. I add stuff when it seems to need it or when the yard is freshly mowed and I have new dried grass clippings. I will add lots of chopped leaves this fall.

My runs have semi-deep litter(cold composting), never clean anything out, just add smaller dry materials on occasion, add larger wood chippings as needed.
Aged ramial wood chippings are best IMO.
