Best flooring substrate.

Hi,

I currently keep my quail on a layer of megazorb. It's great, keeps the smell down, and lasts a good long time. I am, however, thinking of using saw dust in the future as megazorb has gone up in price. Any advice is welcome..

What is megazorb made of? What is zorb?

Megazorb- Natural Fibre Dried wood fibre for the perfect bedding and litter. Dust Free & Sterile.

I would not recommend sawdust. It's very fine and could cause respiratory issues. If you can get wood shavings, that would be better.

I would not recommend sawdust for bedding. It may be absorbent but that means it doesn't dry out fast.
I would recommend hardwood shavings, Aspen or the most frequently used Pine shavings.
