I know it’s early but Pinkie is my favorite, hopefully 100% Maran.

What did the breeder have?

I can't tell how Marans it is because you are holding it (Marans have a distinct stance), but as the others stated it is not pure due to the pea comb.

But it likely then is someone's olive egger project...a Marans bred to Ameraucana line (which has lost its muffing). You could get lovely olive eggs.

Too early to tell. Marans do telecast early, but pea combs are slower to develop.

I could go either way.

So, my friend breeds Marans and thought they’d waiting the right amount of time to collect hatching eggs for me but at hatch they said it looked like their Marans roo might not be covering the hens fully. So, yeah, could definitely be a mix. I’m okay with that. Will probably look for a BCM pullet but would be very happy with an olive egger or friendly roo pet.
