We started with 22 eggs; that's as many as the incubator can hold. 6 were duds and didn't show any development by day 7 so they went into the compost pile. I broke them open and none had so much as a blood spot.
Three popped yesterday (day 20) and another 11 popped today. 2 are still in the incubator and I'm going to let them percolate for two more days before throwing in the towel.
So, we've gotten 14 out of 16 fertile eggs. My wife is happy because she's a chicken mom again (loves her chickens!) and this will supply a few more hens to replace some of our elders that are slowing down. Plus add a few to the flock, lol. She's sneaky that way.
