I'll be in the barn!
So, if I were to order from a hatchery and buy straight run assorted silkies, what hatchery is best? Which hatchery will have the chance for mostly pullets? I was looking at My Pet Chicken, but not sure...
Also, would they be delivered to the post office or what? I've never ordered chicks online (as you can see), so bear with me ;)

Ohh I love getting chicks in the mail! It's so much fun!
My pet chicken hatchery would be the best if you want a chance for mostly females. They are the only hatchery that can sex bantams. Another hatchery to look into is chickensforbackyards hatchery they have all of the Silkie colors and their birds are very healthy, they are straight run though. And yes they do come in the mail. The post office will call you once they arrive. So far the only hatchery we have ordered from is chickensforbackyards hatchery, but we are thinking of an order from my pet chicken hatchery very soon. :)

I'm not sure I want to spend the extra $4+ to get all pullets, but I'm not sure yet :)

Yes that can be very pricy, but most hatcheries will do that. Chickensforbackyards hatchery just offer silkie's as straight run so you wouldn't have to add on the extra dollars. I highly recommend them, but there is one draw back, orders below 15 chicks have very pricy shipping. :/

I saw that the minimum order for bantams at my pet chicken is like 8 or 9, that's the lowest I've seen other than the minimum of four at the local farm stores...

Oh I didn't know that. That's to bad I wanted to get some from them.
Chickensforbackyards have a limit of 3. I think that goes for the bantams too. :)
