@CHlCKEN and I are both working on plans to hatch eggs for others because neither of us can keep more chicks. We're wondering what incubators to use- I've heard great things about both the Nurture Right 360 but also Brinsea incubators. I'd prefer to avoid styrofoam incubators, but not go above $250.
Thoughts on NR360 vs Brinseas or if there's another that's better?

NR 360s are definitely the best for the money. A Brinsea that will hold 22 eggs or more is going to be extremely pricey. But they are good incubators. I've heard good (and bad) things about Incuviews too. From what I have heard they can be pretty good.

22 eggs? We're only looking for like around 15 egg capacity.

I've got NR360 and Brinsea Maxi Advance II. The Brinsea has room on the turner for 15 regular sized eggs. I really like the Brinsea a lot, but this model doesn't have a hydrometer at all which is my only complaint about this unit. You'll want to use an alternate thermometer and hydrometer anyway, so this isn't a huge factor, but for the money, it'd be nice if it was included. The Brinsea has a cooling feature that the NR360 doesn't. That comes in handy for incubating waterfowl. Of course you can cool the eggs in the NR360 manually by opening the lid for however long you desire. The turners on both units seem gentle but the Brinsea seems just a tiny bit more gentle, but it's not a huge difference. My only complaint about the NR360 is getting the lid back on. I have a difficult time lining it up perfectly to close properly. I believe it'd be easy to not get the lid back on and cause some stress by not knowing how long it had been ajar. Times that you need to be quick with opening and closing the unit, I always have to most trouble (of course :D). I'd have a very hard time choosing between these two. I don't know if I could decide to be honest. I really love both units.
