Best laid plans...

I was all set to spend the summer gathering info and working on a coop and run, and getting chicks in the spring.
So...I JUST ORDERED CHICKS FROM MPC!

I had a friend who wanted to go in on an order with me, so I decided, why wait?
I ordered a Buff Orp, an EE, an Austrolorp and a Barred Rock. My friend ordered some polish crested ~( can't wait to see what they look like! LOL!) Tentative arrival is the week of August 10th.

As someone who overthinks everything and can never make up her mind, I think ordering on impulse was a good learning curve for me! LOL! Now tell me I'm not getting into something over my head..

Congrats on taking the plunge! I too am one of those overthinkers. You made a great choice of breeds too. I have some of each and they are all easy going and great layers. The only problem I had was the BR roo I ordered turned out to be a huge bully. Now the waiting starts...........

Their sexing was 100% in my order. I was disappointed that they sent me the wrong color silkies and didn't let me know. One died 2 days later but Paris is over a year old and is a very sweet girl. Good luck and let me know when they arrive!!

I got the confirmation email today! They're definitely shipping on August 10th!
I'll post pics here and on my facebook account since the people in my household will not be showing much interest!
