Is there a best place to keep the food and water? Just moved my chicks outside. I have a sheltered coop with a 6x8x6 accessable outside screened in area. Should the water be outside and food in side or visa versa? Both inside or both outside? Chicks are five weeks old and i do have a heat lamp inside for them at night and when i checked last night they were all huddled under it. I suppose my concern is that what do they do during the night if they need food or water and it is outside? Yesterday was their first day in the coop. I currently have the food hanging out side and the water inside. My concern is that i don't think they would leave the comfort of the lamp at night if they needed food which is outside - or during the day if they need water i don't think they have learned to navigate the ramps to get back inside to get water if they need it.
