Best postition for hatching shipped eggs...

is it better to hatch big end up in a egg carton or laying on the side like it would be in a nest? I had four but one died for unknown reason last night( day 17) so I want to give the surviving three the best chance. I have hatched three times before using on farm eggs so first time shipped( really bad experience, probably never will try again...idk)? Thanks for any help

I like to let the eggs lie down on their sides so they have more wiggle room when when they hatch, but shipped eggs is another story. With them it is better to leave them upright in the cartons until they hatch. Good luck with your hatch!

I'm glad you asked this... I'll be receiving my first shipped eggs very soon & I want to do everything I can to give them the best chance for development!
