Best/Reccomended Brooder Plates

I like brooder plates. I had a 12x18 one and it allowed for a lot of chicks, but was hard to fit in temp brooders, when needed. Now I buy the 12” square ones bc they fit into more places. Also, low wattage. The cover is good to have bc the chicks want to perch on the heaters.

Just bought a new one in Amazon. Saw a new one on incubator warehouse site that looked good. My local stores are sporadic in carrying heat plates.

I use the Brinsea brooder plates. I have two sizes. One for the littles newly out of the incubator and the larger one for brooding. I love them. I like that they are made in the UK. The other brands work fine as far as I know, but I have not tried them. 😊
