I believe McMurray's has a minimum on the number of turkeys you can buy. Every hatchery does that I looked at- especially on the heritage breeds. Ideal doesn't have a minimum amout for the white broad breasted and the bronze broad breasted (other than it must be over $25), but they do have a minimum on the heritage breeds. However, if anyone knows some hatchery where you don't need a minimum number of turkeys, please do share! I'd LOVE to get one or two heritage breeds. Usually the minimum is 10 or 15.
It would be nice to split an order with someone! I just ordered 3 bronze broad breasted pullets from Ideal, along with ten Cornish Cross to arrive in June. I never raised turkeys before, so this'll be a new experience with me!
