Best way to mark a Roo?

I have 2 cages, with 4 hens and one roo, well the latst 5 I got had 2 roos. The deal is I swapped the orgional roos, but left a 7 week and a 5 week in the same cage to get the #'s even like I had planned. I need to mark one of the 2 roos for ID til I get my other hen. I will see hot they get along, but I am trying to mix my genes...

You can use a twist tie around the foot for ID. Don't put it on too tightly and you can cut off the excess if it is too long.

A small dab of blue (whatever color you can most easily see) food color dye on his legs. Lasts for a little while and if you need it any longer you can just dab his legs again, gently blow them to dry ( by mouth not hair drier! Lol) , then he is happy to run about with no strings, no bands, no possible injury from becoming to tight.
