Recently I received a pair of Welsummer roosters for free and I can only keep on of them. So naturally I want to get a little return from the feed I gave them. I realize they are not really meat birds so I don't have high expectations but they are considered dual purpose birds in some of the things I've read.

I don't know their exact age but the are just starting to get that little puberty crow (you know where it sounds like they are getting choked).

I just need to know what weight I should butcher them.

What do you guys think?

Seems like you didn't get an answer here - did you process them yet? I was wondering because I have a 22 week old cockerel I'm planning to process soon - I will probably just stew pot him since he's older and I doubt he'd be any good otherwise. Your cockerel must be around 8 or 9 weeks old - that's when my guys started crowing.
