Best white egg laying breed for cold climates?

My Minnesota neighbor has white leghorns that lay an egg most every day. They are housed in a coop as sole creatures occupying an unheated 30x50 barn. Granted the large barn buffers the extreme weather swings, they have never experienced frostbite on their large floppy combs.
I, too, look forward to other's responses as I would love to add some white egg layers to my flock.

If you don't care about if your chickens are friendly or not I would say rose comb brown leghorns.
