I use Flubendazole if I have to worm. I don't know which products in the USA have this chemical in.yes I gave wazine already but need to retreat and I hear wazine kills the worms really fast and can clog her gut so im looking for others
how much do I give and how many days?I use Flubendazole if I have to worm. I don't know which products in the USA have this chemical in.
It depends on the strength of Flubendazole in the product you buy and what kind of worms you are trying to treat for.how much do I give and how many days?
thank you very muchIf you have already treated with wazine, then it's already done, assuming you are treating round worms. Wazine only works for large round worms.
If you do not know what type of worm you are treating for then I would use Valbazen. Valbazen will take care of most worms with two doses 10 days apart. Safeguard also works, but the dose is larger and you would need to dose each bird 5 days in a row. Either of those will work for most common worms in chickens, except tape worm. For tapeworm you would need to use a medication with praziquantel.
It is true that there is a risk with wazine due to how it works. Wazine paralyzes the worms all at once, valbazen and safeguard kills more slowly by starving them. I don't think the risk is high unless the bird is carrying a really heavy load.
