Besties Breed?

Went by the feed store for food and straw and noticed the chick bin was gone. Upon exploration, I found it in back room where they had moved the chicken food and it contained two lonely very skittish chicks. This soft heart had to bring them home. I think the buff one is either an Orpington or Minorca. No idea on the dark one though. They use Ideal btw.

Would love to know what these pretty babies are. Thanks!

You're probably right on the buff-- I would guess Orpington, because of that breed's popularity, but it could be buff rock, buff Minorca, etc.

The dark one looks like a partridge rock or maybe a Barnevelder.

No idea what they are but I am glad you took them home. Poor babies.....I imagine when they are no longer little, cute fluffs of feather there are less takers.

The dark one has grayish legs. Does that help any?

I'm not expert, but I think the dark one is a single combed blue (or black) laced Wyandotte. What do you all think?
