Hello. I raise beta fish it harder then it seems because they can't live with each other or they will kill each other. I have 13 betas fish right now was going to breed them but it to much work.
 
Well first off when breeding bettas you have to keep them all seperated until the male is ready to breed ( there will be horizontal lines on him) and then put the female in with him. After she lays all her eggs remove the female while the male guards the nest. You can look up all this information online and bettas are very hard to breed. Try breeding guppies, platys, swordtails those kind

Though I don't breed them, I'm into them. I have a really pretty male crowntail betta in a 5 gallon tank in my room currently, with a really nice set-up and two catfish.
