Hi, I ordered these from Amazon (Rent a Coop) and installed them on various containers (55 gallon drum, 3 gallon bucket, 4" pvc pipe). They all got clogged after 3-4 days and stopped working. The cups of the ones installed on the drum detached and fell off. Is there a better more reliable product out there?

I have several Rent-a-Coop waterers, and I only use the horizontal nipples (that look like a "+"). I have never had an issue with clogging (but, again, I don't use the cups - I don't know if that makes a difference).

I also have waterers from Premier 1 with the same type of nipple, and have not had issues with those either.

Ok thanks I'll try those. I have this manufacturer's fences and they work pretty well.

Do you have a lot of minerals in your water? I'm curious if any kind of nipple waterer would work with how many minerals we have in our water.

My chickens get mineral water and I have never had a clogged nipple. I HAVE gotten buildup on the outside of the nipples, but it took 18 months of use for that to happen. I just removed the nipples, replaced them (I always keep an extra set) and soaked the "buildup" ones in warm water with citric acid. They're good as new! 🙌
