Big chicks and little chicks

When can I safelt put my now 6wk old and just hatched ckicks together. The weather is not allowing me to put them out side so I feel that I am going to have an indoor flock. How old to the chicks have to be and what temp should it be before I can put them outside? Lately it has been about 20 at night and 40 in the day. the ground is cover with snow.

You can put them out with a brooder lamp if you have an area for them to be safe. I put mine outside in 10 degree weather, but it was a non drafty are with a brooder lamp to keep them warm. They will stay around the lamp where it is warm for the most part.
