I’ve had my first attempted coop run break in last night. At the base of the 1/2” hardware cloth I laid 2”x4” deer fencing and laced the two materials together. A determined animal clawed through the sod that covers the deer fencing but was unable to make an opening. The girls might have been up in the coop at the time when this happened. They would have been safe. But it’s nice to see the system works.
