Big Ducklings

[Magnolia Ducks]

Have I forgotten since August (my last batch) or are these ducklings really big for two weeks? They were two weeks yesterday. Totally fearless, no axe murderer stage, chase the dog and cats around the brooder, run to me and don't eat meal worms.
They are 12 inches tall.

If you got them from a feed store then chances are that maybe they were a week old already. They look about 3 to 4 weeks old to me, what breed are they? If they are a cross maybe you have hybrid vigor which would explain it too.

Hmmm..I'm thinking 3 weeks and some look like Runners.

Pekin/Runner? looks like these are showing more of their mamas side since their so big! Sure are cute!

When they are grown the drakes would whoop up on their little daddy runner. These are growing faster than the others.

Yes. There is no doubt in my mind they are growing faster than the other broods of Quackers and Bandit.

No wonder we have all seen how fast Pekins grow! At the speed of light lol

I am just comparing, our original brood, the ones we hatched, and the ones Magnolia Ducks hatched before. Even the full Pekins from our original brood did not grow this fast. It is like nature knows it is late in the year and wants them to catch up.

Are they Pekin mama and Bandit?

Yes Quackers the pekin momma and Bandit runner dad. They are just so big
