Hello BYC,
Hello from Indiana! I am so excited to be joining the site and as my name states, i have been 'Back yard bitten!' I live with my boyfriend and our 2 yr old daughter. We are anxiously waiting for spring next year for when we get our very first chicks! I have been doing a lot of reading and researching to understand the care and every thing that comes with chicken care. We are becoming advocates for knowing where our food comes from and shying away from the big companies. Anyway.... today we made a small step forward in our chickie future. My boyfriend and I made a big box pen for our lovely ladies to stay in once they are old enough and big enough later next year. Two things still remain; we still need brooder supplies(which I anticipate won't be a big issue) and our all important chicken coop. I'm still researching coops to see which would be best for our yard and etc. Well I look forward to meeting you all!! TTFN!
