I have a easter egger that is spending most of her time on a nest. I can lift her off and set her down and she will eat and drink and walk about and seems fine. Today while the flock was out in the yard, I got her to go out. However, pretty much all the other chickens are picking on her from actual pecking to just being aggressive and confronting her. After eating and drinking she went right back to a nest. Maybe this is being broody,,,, but it worries me why the rest of the flock is behaving aggresively toward her. Any thoughts ?

I've read that chickens tend to shun or harass another chicken if they sense that it is ill. But that's all I can say. I hope your chicken goes back to normal soon!

Could be broody, but most broodies go frantically right back to nest after being removed.
Is she staying on nest at night too?
Is she growling, squawking, biting, flattening out when you remove her from the nest?

Could be bullying and she's hiding from the other birds.
Could be being bullied because she's ill or because she's broodyish or just low bird.

More info about your flock,
size(numbers, ages, genders),
your coop(size in feet by feet with pics),
might tell the tale.
