Bird netting and muscovies

Can bird netting be safely used to contain muscovies instead of wing clipping?
I've used it with my muscovies for the past 3 years until just recently we had a bigger covered run built. I had it up high enough (which for my area was only about 6' high). I placed stuff around the run so it wasn't aiding in any leaping take offs. :D One of my girls jumped over to the chicken's run, but never got tangled up in the netting. They side eyed it quite often probably dreaming of escaping. I let them out to free range when I can so I don't think they ever thought about running off from the only place they've known.

My ducks look at every bird flying overhead. I bet muscovies do the same. I wonder if the netting was triggering that instinct. Thanks for letting me know you did it for years without issue.
