Ok so I just wondered if anyone had any advice...
one of our ducks, the youngest who has had a lot of genetic problems seems like, likes to lunge at the roosters and she initiates a fight!
One ofour roosters always comes out to find her and attack her. I’ve seperated two of the roosters and left one in the coop with the girls and ducks. the one I put in there is smaller and I had not seen him attack anyone in a long time but now she’s attackinghim... I’m worried she’ll turn him aggressive as well. Any ideas or tricks to help with either thing.none of the roosters are aggressive towards people or the other chickens hardly. šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø any help is great šŸ˜‚ thanks

Many keep ducks separate from chickens.
Do you have any male ducks?
Could be the cock/erel is trying to mount here and she's having none of it.

Why 4 cock/erels?
How old are these birds, in weeks or months?
How many ducks and how many chickens?
How big is coop and run, in feet by feet?
Dimensions and pics would help here.

hi!
yes the mallard is a boy...
The mallard and two older girls are about 5 1/2-6 months old and the chickens are all within two weeks of that. The youngest duck is probably 5 months or just under.

I am pretty sure we only have 3 of the cockerels but we got them from a friend and didn’tknow the sex but I’m 99% sure that these 3 are roosters.
4 ducks (the one boy and three girls) 6 chickens (3 hens I believe 3 roosters)
I’m not sure the actual dimensions of the coop and run... it’s pretty small but not too bad for the amount we have. The problem is even when they are just free ranging (I usually let them hang out for a bit before I put them in their runs (I put ducks and chicken seperate right now) ) the birds attack... I do think we will end up having to get rid of at least the one rooster because he’s started harassing the other chickens and Biting me sometimes... I’m not sure yet.
Right now I’m trying putting two of the roosters free range (the two more attacking ones) and the other 4 by themselves and ducks by themselves.
I’ll have to see but I don’t think I have any coop/run pictures right now 🧐
Also thank you so much for your help!!!
my main concern right now I suppose is the baby girl is egging (heheexcuse the pun) on the roosters to be more violent. She does seem to maybe have some mental disability...but I can’t say for certain.
anyhoo hope that answers your questions 😃

This may be misdirected mating behavior on the part of the drake. Separate the ducks from the chickens.
I really don’t think it’s him... I’ve read plenty of articles about how you need plenty of girls and they may try chickens but I haven’t seen him try to get close to any of the hens and he’s really not pushy when it comes to his girls. I mean it’s possible but when they are together in the coop all the chickens sleep high up instead of with the ducks.
And always solve for peace in the flock. Nobody's happy out there, you need to rearrange birds, and/ or eliminate some, so the remaining flock is happy.

Yes for sure... I think we will have to wait just a little bit longer but most likely will be getting rid of some. Thank you everyone for help and opinions 😊
