I don't mind sharing, and these are the little sparrows but we are going out of town in a few weeks for my son's wedding...

just LOVE my new daughter in law! I hired a pet sitter and she will come once a day to empty and fill their water and feed them. My concern is that we feed them periodically through the day because of the birds who eat their food but our ducks free range also so they should be alright shouldn't they just being fed once a day for 4 days?

You may want to put out more feed just to be sure, I had to put back up my wild bird feeders because of the birds eating out of my flocks feeders. now the chipmunks are the only ones eating it.

Congrats on your new DIL and have fun at the wedding!

Mine are free range.
I only feed them once a day.
And at 5:30pm SHARP they are in the back yard quacking for me!!!

They are nice and fat and happy!!
They forage in and around the lake during the day.
Cricket don't stand a chance! LOL

Thank you Miss Lydia I will have a fantastic time! I'll be sure to tell the woman to put out extra feed and also Sahara loves dried bread and the other 2 ducks love the peas so I figure between the bread, peas and extra feed they should do fine!

Thanks Blondiegal !
It's funny, mine are on a time schedule too! My husband works all night so they know what his truck sounds like and when he comes home at 4am they are waiting for him and quacking so he can feed them! I'm trying to cut back on so many feedings so they will get used to once a day while we're gone. We don't have a lake....which would be wonderful for them but they love the weeds and the bugs and I think a few baby garter snakes! lol
