Biscuit and her brood

I thought I might share a picture of Biscuit, one of my Silkies, and the chicks She hatched. She hatched 4 Nankins and 1 White Rock Bantam on Oct 2. One of the Nankins is a Mom's boy and sticks to her like glue either on her back or under her. He even rides on her as She moves around. Of the Nankins I believe i have 3 Roos and 1 hen. I wish it had been the other way around, but at least I have a pair.

I have a silkie chick that sits on mama's back also, its so cute to watch !!

She verrry protective of Her chicks. I made the mistake of handling one of them and she attacked me. She doesn't bite very hard thank goodness, but she lets you know that you can look but don't touch.

What a great picture with the babies all around,and the little one riding along on top of mama. I didn't know they would let them do that. What a good mama she is.
