Black Australorp comb

Hello,

We are located in Michigan so currently very cold here. Woke up today and noticed my rooster how has a black line going through his comb. Is this normal for the breed or a sign of possibly frostbite? If so how can I treat it or help him?
He is my only rooster and only black australorp.

Don't touch it. I am not sure but am willing to bet it is frostbite.

Heal...ugh... I'm pretty sure that frostbite turns to dead which falls off so yeah it heals on its own.

On our home page here the Article of the Week deals with frostbite. Unfortunately a lot of folks are dealing with it right now. Your rooster is gorgeous. He will be okay, @Kiki is right, just leave it alone, it will heal on its own and there is nothing you can do to help him.
