My "girls" are pretty young yet, about 7 weeks. I got them from a feed store, and I think they were straight run although the feed store didn't confess that, only said I could bring back any that turn out to be roosters. In searching these forums and the web, I'm learning that perhaps I have one of the more difficult breeds to tell apart at an early age! Questions!
Do both hens and roos of this breed get spurs? I see a clear bud of a spur on one bird but then I saw a post that says that's not a for sure sign in this breed.
All have the beginnings of combs, but not red.
Here's a picture from this evening. Does anyone see any clear roos in this group for me to compare? I have 8 to sort.
