Hi, I have 10 Black Australorp chickens, and 2 guineas they are about 2.5 months old. (about 10 weeks old)

And another set of chicks that are Jumbo Cornish Cross that are about 3 weeks old.

My question is, how much do I feed them?
My chickens are in chicken tractors, they free range in their tractors and we move them about every 3 days now since the grass is fuller, and they also get juice pulp everyday as well as table scraps. They act like they are starving, like angry attack birds when I come out in the morning to feed them, but i've also noticed that they act like that even after they have been fed. Their crops are full pretty early on in the day, like noticeably.

Also, are the Jumbo cornish cross losing their fur and looking rough due to getting their feathers in at almost a month old?

Hi and welcome to BYC :frow We're so happy you've decided to join us :ya

I feed my layers free choice until they are laying and then plan on about 4 1/2 ounces per bird per day, but feed morning and evening. I start them on a 20% protein start for the first three weeks and then move them to an 18% grower until they lay.

CXs I feed an 18% protein their entire life. In my environment I get the best yeild with lowest mortality rate by feeding what they can eat in 45 minutes, twice per day. I'll measure each Sunday and feed that quantity for the rest of the week, then measure again.
