Black Australorp or Jersey Giant? 22-23 weeks. Hen or roo? Bought 2 Australorps & 4 Jersey Giants but can't tell them apart. I'm only sure one crows. This one has a different shaped comb than the other three.

JGs are larger and have a yellowish color under the feet. Australorps have a white or pinkish color under the feet. The one that is in all of the pictures is a cockerel.
Thank you! I had read about the feet and have had a hard time telling if they're truly yellow or not. I also read that AL has five points on their comb and JG has six and I have one of the 5 that has a slightly different comb than the others. The one that died definitely had pink soles on her feet. So I should have 4 Jerseys and 1 Australorp then. If what we bought is what was given to us. 😆

It is an APA disqualification if there is no yellow present on BJG feet. Sometimes you see the yellow between the toes.

The large male in your top pic looks like BJG. He has the wide, spreading tail (as opposed to a tighter one with 1-2 long feathers more typical of roosters). A BJG should have a flat back, as opposed to the curved back you typically see on a BA. A BA male will have the longer/tighter tail with the 1-2 longer feathers. The body frame of a BJG should be bigger, making him look rounder, than a BA.
