Shadow was supposed to be a hen when we got our chicks last year but he turned out to be a rooster instead. Since he was my daughter's chicken we couldn't get rid of him and he wasn't causing any problems or crowing yet. He crows now which is not a problem but as we only have 6 hens and don't really need a rooster, the hens are loosing feathers due to his attention to his duties.

He pecked my daughter the other day so she is currently not happy with him, so now is our opportunity to re-home him and save the hen's feathers so their bald spots can heal.
