I know black australorps are supposed to be a good layer but I was wondering if they were good for going broody thanks.

Hi! I have 3 Australorps. I have one, Stretch, who has gone broody twice this year. If she does it again, I am going to get her some eggs to hatch. The other two haven't shown any signs of broodiness. I wish you luck!!

Australorps can go broody sometimes. If you look at the breed information here on BackYard Chickens, you can find Australorp and it has a description of the breed. They describe Australorps as being average for broodiness.
