Black Australorps in AZ??

Anybody raise Black Australorps in AZ or anywhere else that gets as hot or similar?? Just curious cause of the nature of the Black feathers and the obvious heat in the summer time.

I have a black star hen that is just as dark as an Australorp... she only has the slightest bit of red ticking on her breast.... she did fine last summer but she was a juvie back then.

I live in Northern CA, my Australorps keep laying even when it gets over 100 here, they are
known to do very well in the heat. They are originally from Australia where high temps are the norm. As long as they have some shade. One thing I do is put a mister on in their run
during the hottest days. It's just a single one that you hook to the hose. It helps raise the temp a little to give them some relief.

Have fun with them, they are my favorite breed.
