Black, but looks like mud??

hello, my buff orpanton, Shamrock, is having an issue, he is normally very slow, and so ready to b held, but lately he is not looking very good, tail down and picking at himself, i went in and checked him, the whole rear area of his body is black like mud from their run, but it just doesnt look right, there was poop hanging, and his feathers are falling out?????


can anyone help???????
