Hay we have a black cardinals family in our bush. Why are they? I can’t get a picture. They have 2 babies but no mom. Just the male. They are doing fine but I want to know what they are.

I’ll try. It look like the cardinal with the crest… just blackWell, cardinals are not black so without a picture there is no way anyone can try to identify the birds.
