Black Cockerel, Gold laced hen

What would the colour of the offspring most likely be?

Due to the fact my gold laced orpington cockerel died Im thinking of getting another to replace him, At the minute though I can only get Black, Blue and splash colours,

I want to try and keep the gold laced colour off my hen ..would the black cockerel keep it going ??


Im trying so hard to get my hands on a gold laced but they are quiet hard to get where i am

Maybe you should try finding someone who carries laced eggs? Or someone who'll let you "milk" their laced rooster so you can articfically inseminate your hen.

I am trying to get some eggs .. But im looking into "show" standard parents, (My hen is from the middleton blood line) I was just curious as to if a black cockerel would mess up the gold laced line to be honest

Ive checked that page out and i think i will have to wait till the kids are not buzzing round my ears to read it just so it makes a litle bit of sense lol,
