Hello all, can anyone tell me if my hen is indeed a BCM? We bought some chicks off a chicken farm, they said they could be these breeds, but I’m thinking I got all EEs. I still love them regardless I also have this all black hen I’m curious what she could possible be as well. TIA!

The all black with grey/black legs is an Australorp, I have one too. Very silky, soft and gentle.

Oh nice, she’s very sweet and low girl in the pecking order. Do they lay brown eggs? Only one of my hens has started the lighter necked one, and I think the one with the darker neck band will start next because her wattles are starting to turn red. This little black one though I’m not sure about!

The bird in the first photo could be a Marans or Marans cross. Are her earlobes white? If so, then not a Marans.

The bird in the second photo could be a Jersey Giant, but also maybe an Australorp. Check under the feet-- if the skin there is white, then probably Australorp. If the skin there is yellowish, then Jersey giant. But could be a mix, too.

The blue and gold in the last photo is very likely to be crossbred.

They all look like mixes to me. The colors with the white ears doesn't go together with any breed I'm aware of.
There was another post that the person was wondering about her hen, and everyone said Brown Leghorn, and she looked just like mine in the last pic, but mine lays brown eggs and leghorns lay white right?

eggs will be brown, not dark though

It looks white in the photo, but they are starting to turn reddish, they were black before that.
I will have to check their feet when I get home!

the chicken that looks like a leghorn is not, I have Brown Leghorns, eggs are white. Still looking to find out what that Leghorn look a like is. Her legs are dark, unlike Brown Leghorn. Her body color (grey) is just to grey with no other colors. My Brown Leghorns are very decorative, just beautiful girls.
