My duck is getting over bumblefoot so I've stared at her feet quite a bit the past few weeks. What is this dark course edge in seeing around the top of her feet in between her toes? I couldn't clean it off. I have been wrapping her between her toes but I don't do it really tight where I think it could injure her.

Hi,

What breed of duck is it?

Nothing restricting it's bloodflow to it's feet?
I figured it out. I was wrapping her foot loosely with vetwrap because she had bumble. I had someone say they did the same and it had happened to their duck. I've stopped wrapping and am spraying vetracyn on it now hoping it will heal. Any idea if it will heal?

Bumblefoot almost always heals if you got the core of it out, or the pus if you caught it early. Keeping vetericyn spray on it should help it not get infected. Loose vet wrap shouldn't cause circulation issues but it must've in this case.

I have seen though that it seems once a bird gets it, many get it again down the road.

The trick is to find out what is causing bumblefoot and removing it, ie. lots of sharp pointy rocks, jumping too far, etc.
