Black feathers with light shafts, goldish around the neck and weird comb, what is she?

I have no clue and understand it could well be a mutt.
What really intrigues me is the funky comb, can't find a description that's near enough to say.
She's about a year or so old. I'm new to chicken ownership, but have done alot of reading and research and chicken sitting, this is my first flock.

Thanks!

Looks like either a hatchery gold laced Wyandotte or a Wyandotte mix. Legs look too dark for a pure dot-but hard to see in the pictures.

Agree it's either hatchery stock gold lace wyandotte or a cross.

Your brahma roo(other thread) looked like a brahma cross to me.. this hen makes me wonder if some of your birds are brahma wyandotte cross or mixes.

Her comb is rose comb, the "problem" is rose comb varies a LOT. It's pretty "malleable" to selection... and cross breeding can alter the rose comb appearance.

She looks like a poor quality (hatchery) Golden Laced Wyandotte. Her comb is a perfectly normal rose comb, though rose combs vary significantly from breed to breed.

Thanks for the feedback. I love my mixed up bunch of mutts!

Interesting about the rose combs...and I do think it was a hatchery bird.
