Has anyone ever tryed this for the brooder. I have never seen it mentioned and wondered if this would provide a more natural day and night cycle.

I haven't tried it for a brooder but have had one for many years as a "heat light" for my parakeets. They are in my basement family room which can get into the low 60's at night and they often sleep on the perch near the light.

i have yet to hatch anything yet, but think that it should work. we have used one for heating chicks

Thanks for your input. I want to try this but I just wanted to make sure it would " Do no harm ". Which has been an oath I lived by for 25 yrs. even if it's a chicken. After all that time it becomes a part of you. Thanks again and if anyone out there can add anything I'd be greatfull.
