Black marks on roosters comb???

My Black Australorp rooster has got these black marks all over his comb. I have no clue as to what it would be. I will try to get pix later. Is this something normal?

Could be the hens are just pecking at him at night on the roost....or if he free ranges he has gone thru some bushes...keep an eye on him and put some antibotic cream on him like neosporin......

Just watch him and your flock for signs of something else going on....like fowl pox...

Black marks are normally scabs. Can be from fighting with another rooster, hens pecking at him, etc..

Watch him carefully. If the marks get bigger it may something else, but it is probably just scabs from injuries.
