It’s me again. I have a feeling I will be a newbie frequent here. So we bought three reds, three yellows and six black chick. Before you say it I now know rookie mistake. Well the black are definitely bossy, but they also grabbed my little yellows leg twice. The yellow is significantly smaller than the others. It just happens it was the smallest yellow. It seems okay- not limping or anything. I went to pick the yellow up and when I do anyhring in the brooder the blacks get annoyed anyway. I wonder if it was to be mean to the yellow as I lifted it or to keep me from getting it? I don’t know if I can build a whole separate coop that fast and run so should I give it time or try to re home? I hate re- homing any animal but I also don’t want the blacks hurting the reds and yellows.
It also isn’t constant- but they are the pesky ones that peck others and want to try and fly around. Haha when I come in it looks like they instantly want to start something 😂😂

Agree with @sourland if they were all bought around the same time it is just normal chicken behavior. If you can identify breed vs. color though it is quite possible your chicken may have some differing roosting/housing requirements. Such as large body breeds need lower roosts to prevent foot infections, my games roost as high as possible or in the trees and my silkies are all about huddling on the ground together.
