Black Orpington -- Roo or Hen

I am hoping that this chicken is a hen, but lately I have been thinking she is a he.

Well she cashes the other two roosters that I have from their flock when they pick on the little ones. Also her sister does not have a red comb and red wattle yet.

Cockerel.

Technically not a rooster until one year of age. Even if it was a pullet, it wouldn’t be called a hen until 1 year of age also..

4 months old. I figured tonight that the chicken is a roster after it started chasing the other rosters I have.

Age, and a better pic. At 14 weeks it should be easy to tell in better lighting than this pic. Chasing other cockerels or roosters isn't very indicative of gender. Females will do that too.
