I just got a new hen and don't know the breed. She has a black pea comb and face which I can't find any info or pictures similar to her online. She has small tufts but not as obvious as an ameraucana. I thought she looked like a blue copper marans but she has the black pea comb. She hasn't laid an egg yet so I don't know the color. Possible olive egger?! Thank you for any help!

Her back feathers look like a blue cochin's feather coloring. She's pretty.

My guess is an Easter egger, which is basically a mixed breed that lays usually blue or green eggs, you should know more when you get an egg out of her.

I'm pretty sure she just laid a blue egg today so I guess she's an Easter egger :) but what I'm really wondering about is the black comb and face! I can't find any breeds that look like her with a black comb! It seems really rare....

Some more common breeds would be black silkies, and Sumatra, they have black faces and combs, as well as the rare breed Ayam Cemani.

Whatever breed she is - she is stunning. I especially love her coloration .

It's commonly referred to as 'gypsy faced' and can happen in any breed... not specific to fibro, but is caused by fibro in many cases... OEGB's are well known for having gypsy face cropping up... most breeds consider it a defect and cull it out...
